Among the various features of Windows 10, the mail app is an essential feature to control multiple email accounts. It is a direct connection from the user to load his/ her personal email accounts without having to check on the browser. It includes some of the basic features that can be used on a daily purpose. Accounts such as Gmail, Yahoo mail, iCloud and other custom mail IDs are all supported to it.

Ways to get started with the Mail app on Windows 10

It is completely easy and free for users to create multiple accounts. Here are some of the steps that are explained briefly to get started.

Add or set up an email account

First, as soon as you open the Start button you will find the mail app on the app list. After opening the mail app, you should click on Add account then select a service to access your email. Once you’ve added your account, you now have access to additional accounts as well. However, for using different accounts, you need to enter the email id and passwords according to it as the app would automatically figure out the settings.

Include multiple accounts

If you have created the account on the Mail app, you can now manage accounts to add multiple accounts that can be found in the settings. There you will find the Add account button and you should select the service you are using for. It is like setting up a new email account. 

Changing multiple email accounts settings

When you have multiple accounts, you can now change the settings for each account which is in the Manage accounts section in the settings. The changes for accounts include changing names or removing the account. You can also the change setting for synchronizing mails, contacts or even calendars. 

Inboxes linked for check and reply

The mail app holds the emails that arrived from different accounts. If you have trouble managing those emails, then the Accounts link button on settings can help to link the inboxes as well in which you can select more than two email accounts and save for combined inboxes. After saving, you can check the similar messages on one section and others on a different section. You can reply to each account as well. 

Open multiple messages/ emails.

If you want to check separate emails, you should select an email and click the ‘Open new message in a new window’ button and repeat the process as per your necessities.

Taking quick actions

To take certain actions, there is a ‘pop up’ icon once you right-click on the selected message. You can select it to delete, archive or flag the email. 

Setting up folders for files/ documents

To keep your account organized, you should set up multiple folders for the emails you receive. You can create a new folder by clicking ‘Folders’ and clicking the ‘+’ sign on top. You can now enter the name of the folder and add emails/files to it.
