Do you know you can create your own Facebook Avatar? Are you bored of using the same old generic sad, happy, love, angry, and thumps up emojis on Facebook? Fear not, because Facebook has launched its new feature. Last year Facebook launched this feature on other countries and finally, in MAY it launched Avatar feature in the US.
If you are familiar with Snapchat Bitmoji, then you will probably know that this feature allows you to create a cartoon avatar of yourself. In addition to that, you can use this avatar in the comments, Facebook stories as well as in messenger.
According to the head of the Facebook app, Fidji Simo, users can choose from many emotions and expressions instead of the same old generic emojis. Hence, the Avatar lets users react and engage more authentically with their family and friends through this App.
Here are the steps to create your own Facebook Avatar
The steps are similar in both ios and android versions.
Step 1: Firstly, open your Facebook App, then tap on three horizontal lines in the bottom-right of your screen.
Step 2: Scroll down and tap “see more”
Step 3: Tap on “Avatars”
Step 4: Now tap “Next” then “Get started”
Step 5: Choose a suitable skin tone that fits yours and tap “Next”
Step 6: In the same way, you can choose your hairstyle, face shape, eye shape and color, eyebrows, body shape, etc. and customize your Avatar to make it as similar as you.
You can also tap on the mirror icon at the top right of the screen to open the front camera, if you need a reference of yourself to make the Avatar.
Step 7: If you’re done customizing and satisfied with your Avatar, tap the checkmark at the top right corner.
Step 8: Once the screen finishes loading, tap “Next”
Step 9: Finally tap “Done”
Finally You Can Create your own Facebook Avatar
Congratulations! You have successfully created your Avatar. You can also share it on your Facebook feed by clicking on the arrow sign on top right or set it as your temporary profile picture.
If you want to see your Avatar sticker, simply tap on the sticker icon. Also, you can make changes to your Avatar by clicking on the pencil icon.
You can use your Avatar on comments as well. To do so, tap on the smiley face next to gif icon on the bottom of your screen, finally have fun with your own Facebook Avatar.
